Flufflvr:

This is BEAUTIFUL . Thanks for sharing. I must put this on my website and creat a page for all these quotes, speaches and other stuff that spells dogs.

A member of Poodle Club of Canada of which I am a member always quotes the following when she ends her letters e-mails to the executive.

Poodles are not my whole life, they make my life WHOLE. So so true.

yep, same here...but @ this point in my life, i don't care. my jessie makes me SO happy i don't care if people think i'm over the top. truth is, what we get from our poodles is amazing, so why wouldn't be wanting to spend as much time with them as possible? i find myself wanting to be with other poodle/dog people more than my "not" dog people friends. i hate when my schedule is so stressed that i have to leave her most of the day, or i'm home and then running out again to the next job, or appt, or meeting. still she waits patiently and never holds a grudge....

you know, i think i have separation anxiety when i'm not with her for long periods of time - lolol

I hear you and am in total agreement. Doggy people are by far more interesting than non doggy people. Some people I meet say, I dont like dogs.. HOW can anyone say they dont like an animal is beyond my comprehension. I would never have a friend who can say this to me.. never.
Personaly I would rather spend my time with my dogs than some people.. ::((

My favorite quote is: The more I know people the more I like dogs.

Dogs have never disappointed me. My schnauzer was there for me no matter what. He put me first no matter what. Even the minute before he had to leave this world, he tried his best to lick off my tears. I don't think anyone would do the same thing for me. I'm my dogs' everything and I'm willing to give them the best I can afford. That's the pact - from the day I bring my dogs home.

AMEN to this.. Well put indeed. They love us UNconditionally, they are loyal to us UNconditionally, they forgive our faults and shortcomings UNconditionally and they accept us UNconditionally. Can we say the same about the human race ? I think not.

dogs are my life. If people think I'm 'too into them' then they can go jump, cos I love my life, and my life is dogs. I'm the normal one, everyone else is strange. ;)
These are my thoughts. I think sometimes I am over the top, I miss my dogs when I am gone and cannot wait to get home to them. My times away from the home is not long at all.......and I am good with that.:) My family visit (I live at the beach - so the summers are busy) and I love how "impressed" they are that they are trained so well. Or when we walk the dogs and people say your poodles are beautiful, who grooms them? ME! LOL - I enjoy them so much, and the bonus is they are MY therapy, I thank God for them a lot. :)

Let me know pls. of the date you are planning to be here.

I love this topic. My world revolves around doing things with Murphy! I have a lot of flexibility in my job so I can work at home. There is nothing more than I enjoy than spending time with him! I take him everywhere and I am always talking about him. That is why I surround myself with dog people! But, it more fun to be surrounded by fellow poodle people. They totally get why we are so into our dogs!!

Because of "just a dog" I will rise early, take long walks and look longingly to the future. So for me and folks like me, it's not "just a dog" but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment.

"Just a dog" brings out what's good in me and diverts my thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day.

I hope that someday they can understand that it's not "just a dog" but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being "just a human."
Thank you SO much for posting this. It really resonated with me!
