Enzo has been difficult with treats. I can't fine a treat that he can chew fast and continue to work with me. I found some but I can't get them locally so I been looking for something easy to chew that is soft. The one treat that has been working is called natures recipe training treats.

I swear by this and you will like it too. Natural Balance's food logs. They last forever refrigerated and you just slice the amount off you want and break off small pieces as you bait. No mess or residue on your hands after. Sting and all my dogs love that as bait when training. I love Natural Balance dog food as it is but the logs work great for bait. Its like gold.... the dogs love it and its nutricious!

I use something very similar...it's a roll from Cardinal called Pet Botanicals.

The one I have says "an ecological alternative to premium dog food" but they also have one called a training roll...I don't know if they are different formulas, or just cross marketing.

Oh, and Bella really likes ice cubes, so I cheat and use those sometimes if I am just trying to reinforce her come or down. :p

For grooming treats I use cat food...perfect size and since I buy the natural line of cat food its not too bad for them either.

I don't think that using it ALL the time for rewards is probably a good idea, but until he gets bigger and can take the bigger treats it would help!
