Assuming you have a Standard expected to be 50+ lbs, I would stick with the large breed food until 12-14 months old. You can get that exact food from CHEWY for $66. Purina Pro Plan is actually one of the lowest cost good quality (IMO) kibbles.
You could use an all life stages if you want to as they are essentially designed for the puppy stage which drives the "all stages" (more demanding nutrients wise, I believe) formulation.

 

Peggy had a significant growth spurt around 18 months. So while I can’t tell you which food to use, I personally would stick with a high-quality large breed puppy food.

Poop shouldn’t be consistently overwhelmingly stinky. I mean…it’s never going to be pleasant. But really putrid poops are a sign something’s amiss.

For high distraction environments, we have the best luck with small kernel-sized morsels of soft, human-grade food, like boiled chicken breast, string cheese, etc. Indoors at home we largely use a second “treat kibble,” which makes up about half Peggy’s daily calories. Good question. Even properly stored dog food has a very short shelf life. Sometimes people try to save money by buying massive quantities, but it backfires if your dog starts getting “picky” (i.e. has a normal reaction to rancid food) or develops health issues.

 

I'm feeding Rhonda Purina Healthy Puppy dry food. She's fifteen months and about ready for adult food. I get a 16.5 lb bag at Amazon for about $30.00. That lasts her about a month.

Regarding food, not all dogs do well on all foods. My previous dogs enjoyed Purina and did well on it for a couple years. My current pair don't tolerate it well. One has a generally sensitive digestion and does best on Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein. The other developed a gurgling tummy and foul smelling gas when I had him on Purina. I've now got him on the HP formulation, which is an all life stages, along with my other dog just because it's easiest to feed both dogs the same thing.

I did transition both dogs to adult food quite young simply because they started refusing to eat their puppy food if they had adult food available.

Large breed puppy food is developed to "slow" the rapid growth of puppies that are predicted to grow in the 50lb and up range. The reason for slowing growth is to reduce the possibility of developmental orthopedic disease and other ortho issues as they age.

Purina Pro Plan has several versions of their large breed puppy formula. Checking only Chewy.com I see price variations of nearly $20 depending on the version. Maybe a lower cost version will do just as well.

Check the price on Chewy, you can get the Purina large dog puppy (chicken & rice) for 62.68 on subscription, where they deliver on a schedule you set, or 65.98 just buying a bag. My dogs are all on Science diet, different prescription formulas as I found them to work better but talk about pricey! One is on their total term control, keeps allergies, ear infections in check, the other I started giving the digestive care as one of my other dogs are on it, and now he eats betters his poops better as well. He also had rather stinky poo. My vet facility had me take my dogs off puppy formula at 5 months to slow bone growth, (someone posted here that puppy formula slows bone growth, but thats not what my vet office advised me). I don't know which is correct. I now add human food to my dogs meals, they all eat better, poop better as well. I usually just get ground turkey, port or beef, boil it up and make portions for about 3 days in a row. I also add a fried egg in when I don't add meat. Mine really eat poorly when its plain kibble.
When you have pets it is expensive, $90. a month would be great for me as I pay a heck of a lot more. I save $ now by grooming my own dogs. They don't look as nice as when the groomer does it but they are clean, and mat free. LOL Oh and remember if you transition your dog to another brand of food, do it slowly. I take a month 1st week 25 % new, 2nd 50% and so on..till fully transitioned.

Buck is on a combo of raw and moistened kibble plus topper. My breeder recommended Infinia Turkey Sweet Potato which is for all stages. I try to keep it interesting with small amounts of cottage cheese, a bit of last night’s main protein. Who wants to eat brown all the time? Not our smart poodles! I’m just starting out 20% kibble an raw meats an veggies! Also . Dogs on 100% raw don’t get all the nutrients they need I was told . Read some books on draw diet with dogs or YouTube videos . Once adult you can go up to 50% if you choose not to use kibble with it .
