Hello, Poodle Forum!
We’re bringing our standard pup home soon, and I’m going to have a go at grooming him myself (when it’s time). I’ve got a decent pair of Osters already, and I’ve just about made up my mind to go with this setup:
-10 blade (already have it)
-30 blade
-Wahl stainless steel combs
I’m hesitant to invest in this setup b/c I know so little about poodle grooming! For those of you who do all/most of your grooming at home—Have you ever had trouble working with the stainless steel combs?
My other starter pack would look like this:
-10
-5f
-3/4
Or similar. Just three blades to start. Because I have the impression that even the stainless steel combs don’t work for some?
Any experience or advice will be so appreciated. I’ve got some tiny bit of experience clipping animals, but I was not prepared for the information overload that comes with poodle grooming!
