Does anyone know if the kool collar is effective? Are they safe to use? We have a pitbull akeeta mix that stays outside a lot and with the rising temperature we are worried about heat stoke. My father who is 94 lets him out and can not get him back in until i get home from work. Let me know your thoughts on the product.

I have a bandana like collar with gel in it that you put in the refrigerator. When I go hiking in the summer and it's hot, we sometimes put it on the dog. Is that what you are talking about? Yes, it seems to help keep the cool, but it only stays cool a couple of hours.
