This one is pretty big and my Moyen /small standard disappears under it . Used a very large chamois on a large dog before , years ago . The best for us , for the car are more expensive and large , and hold a lot of water

This is the type I get from Home Goods (but the Amazon price is actually even a little better). They absorb SO much water. I also use them to dry my car when I wash it! I like them because they're pretty small and very lightweight.

I just use an old black bath towel. Does the job for the most part, but would like to use something more efficient when they wear out. Microfibers are amazing for household cleaning, but I'd imagine that they would be soaked after one dry, given how absorbent they are.

Love these!!! We have 2 but honestly, one would do the job just fine on any size poodle. Works like a traditional chamois cloth. I just lightly scrunch it on
wet coat then wring it out and repeat several times. It’s super portable for when we go to the do it yourself dog bathing stations at the pet store. I love this WAY better than towels.
The only thing I would say is the instructions say you can store it damp in the container but I found it can be a bit smelly so I let it dry then just fold it for storage. It’s stiff and crunchy when dry but getting it wet and wringing it out makes it ready to go. I seriously love these and highly recommend. I got them from Amazon. Size large. It feels small as it’s smaller than a bath towel but it really does do the job!

 

I posted about the 100% viscose towels from Germany that I found on Amazon and really suck up fluids. I got this tip from Bijou poodles. She has tons of good info on her site. They are great for drying poodle hair, spills on rugs, anything liquid. Much better than cloth.
But to keep absorbent, air dry and use no dryer sheets softener in the wash with them. They dry quickly overnight draped over a plastic laundry basket.
I use Terry towels only for the floor when I bathe my dog for safety after the shakies and dry her with the viscose in the shower, then use the force dryer to blow her barely damp and use the viscose to dry her poodley wet ears to avoid the blower on ears which she dislikes.

 

We have an array of old towels, microfibre and normal towels and we tend to use the terry towels for Winnie to stand on while we dry with the microfibre one. It's one of those ones intended for sports or camping use. Thin but absorbant and dries quickly afterwards. I have one of these to dry my hair too.

 

I got a towel brand called Soggy Doggy and it’s great. Of course during Hurricane Harvey I had to follow up towels, but it worked. Rey well on the sopping wet stage.

 

I don’t know while the spelling corrections/suggestions are so wack, I also have a dog wet absorbing mat for paws at the most used door.
