our girl always makes cry noises when she sleeps and l found it very interesting.

anyone has any theories about that? it often sounds like an upset cry...but then how can l know...since she cannot tell me what she was dreaming about ;)

does dogs dream like humans ?

Dogs most definitely do dream, and of course we can never know exactly what they're dreaming about... but it's sure fun to hypothesize.

Here's an interesting article on this topic: https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/canine-corner/201010/do-dogs-dream

All of my dogs have made various sounds and movements over the years in their sleep... I often wished I'd know why they're wagging their tails or howling in their dreams. :)

Rocky whimpers when he’s sleeping sometimes, then his front paws start twitching and sometimes his eyes look like they are shifting side to side. We call it chasing squirrels as a joke. I love watching it; find it really cute.

Dogs, like humans have a subconscious mind. During sleep, this center of intellect communicates with the conscious mind often in dream states. Many other animals have not been observed to dream.

I wake up Noelle if she seems distressed in her dream. Vigorous tail wagging makes me laugh, though. She sometimes runs in her sleep, wiggling her paws, but mostly she's just quiet.
