You do have a wicked sense of humor and I love it!
I was shopping and my eye was caught by all these Halloween costumes for pets and I was wondering if anyone here dressed their dog up for the holiday?

We don't get a lot of kids, but the neighborhood kids all love my dog so I'm tempted to buy a costume for her to wear - I think the kids would get a big kick out of it.

My only concern is that she isn't crazy about wearing coats in the winter or rain so she probably won't appreciate wearing a costume for a few hours.

Do any of you dress your dogs up?

Love the purple tutu with a matching flower in her hair. haha. Was that a child's tutu?

That reminds me when my kids were little, they sometimes would put a tutu (one daughter wore it when she was 3-4 yo) on our toy poodle for dress up - Taffy wouldn't tolerate being dressed in clothes, nor would she tolerate being put in the baby carriage for "walks", but she did tolerate the tutu and would stand on her hind legs and dance for their friends.

Haven't figured out what we are going to do for a costume this year but last year we did this...........Like I said I want Molly to be comfortable... and surprisingly she was ok with the witches hat ! LOL! She even smiled! hahahaha!!!!

Last year Lily and Javelin went to the Canine Cognition Center at Yale's Halloween party as matching devil dogs. They won a prize for being the best pair of costumed dogs. I can't find a picture just now, but I am thinking there is one buried in Javelin's 52 weeks thread somewhere. Lily has also been a dragon and a bumble bee.
Here..... I remembered seeing it in Javs 52 weeks.....

We don't dress our dogs or even put bows in their hair because my husband thinks its cruel. LOL The first thing he said when he agreed my daughter could get what he calls a "purse dog" was that we could never put clothes on her. I would totally dress them up :(

You dug deep! I can't get over how much Javelin looks like a little boy there. He would be about 5 1/2 months old in that picture.

BTW I just bought them matching Halloween collars. Going a little low key this year.

Here are the collars I got for Lily and Javelin. Sadly they didn't have one big enough for Peeves. Our theme this year is scary spiders.
