Well, most of you have been following me for weeks watching the litter grow. The breeder let me have first choice. I was going to pick her out when we went to go pick her up, but now there are other people wanting to get the other two pups. My hubby and I only felt that it was fair to pick our girl now, so the other two pups could go home on the 25th. We won't be available to get Zulee until the 31st, so it would be awful to have other people wait on us to have first pick a week later. We are also committed to be out of town the next couple of weeks, so we couldn't schedule a visit.

It was a very difficult choice because each pup has their own unique reason to be the most adorable little girl. It's funny though. After getting their poodle faces on, I got them mixed up. The one that I thought was the biggest, is actually the smallest. Go figure! I also found that the one that was the biggest is now the same size as the one with the white on her chin, who will be an abstract with a little white on her chest.

After discussing personalities and verifying our choice with the breeder, we have chosen the totally black one. In this photo, she is the girl on the right. In last weeks post titled 'Put your poodle face on', she is the girl on the left.

I don't have the best picture of her, but I would like to introduce you to Zulee. Only 14 more days, and I will go and get her (whether hubby has to work or not!) Now that we have chosen our girl, it's not as critical he goes with me. Of course, I hope he is able to go. :elefant:

I am SO happy for you! That is very exciting news! WOW, they are all precious, and your little one on the left is absolutely gorgeous!! I love the "all black" personally, but I'm sure personality played a part in your decision as well, I know it did for me too! ... only 14 days to wait! so awesome!!

Thanks Heather. I'm even more excited now that I know who she is. I may have confused everyone. She is on the right in this picture. In the last post, she was on the left. That may have been what you meant.

It won't be long before we hear about Rogan's first night!

You'll do fine! I'm very impressed with your breeder. Your pup will be well socialized and be able to adapt to the change. I am confident in my breeder too. She socializes her pups and gets them ready for their new homes.

BFF,

Congratulations on picking your little girl. All three are adorable, I understand why it was so difficult to choose. :) I love your little Zulee! In the picture she appears to have the largest eyes of the three, spaced far apart from the nose - like a supermodel. I bet she will be simply gorgeous!!!

Thank you for all the compliments. She will be loved no matter what. :D

The breeder said that she was alert, loved to play, and had a very sweet disposition. She also felt like the other one I liked would be a good fit for me too (her playmate), so in the end, it was color that helped me make the final choice. Since she will be a companion and I don't have set plans to do agility or rally, I am happy with whatever her temperament is.

I'm sure there could be other factors someone else may have used to verify that she was the right puppy. In my case, I have a lot of confidence in the breeder to know she picked the right dam and sire for what I wanted. I feel fortunate I was able to have a litter 'designed' for what I wanted. I also wanted a girl really bad. Thank God, the whole litter was girls giving me pups to choose from. I think any of them would have been a good choice. I just really loved the look of her little face.
