I agree. Even though I work, I have more free time than a lot of people and still feel like I don't have enough time to spend training Max. For me I want to be sure that I only have one dog to focus on with respect to training. The other, less pleasant issue is the fact that our dogs are not with us for very long. I hate to think about this but it's worth considering. Do you want to deal with the heartache and expense of two aging dogs at the same time?
But all that's easy to say. For me it all goes out the window, when I want a puppy! We love Max and I want another one too. For us, two dogs is our limit and I definitely want Max to be well trained before I can handle a puppy.
