Are their certain color dogs from particular background that produce it? Is it more common in smaller poodles? I'm just curious. I was very taken w/ Ch. Alegria Shamus (Miniature) at the dog show.

I don't think they pop up very often because as a brown breeder it would not be desirable to add a fading allele over your brown color. Brown breeders always try to breed the darkest brown possible.
The flip side is that a light Silver Beige, like Shane, is highly desirable in a silver breeding program because he will bring a good strong silvering allele to the breeding. So Shane could be bred to a Blue or Silver to produce silver puppies. He would probably not be used in a Brown breeding program unless someone was wanting to breed Cafes.
I like the clip on this dog Zeuss towards the bottom. He looks cool! Thats a manageable continental clip if I ever seen one.Are there any Silver beige Standards ? I have never seen one.
