For some strange reason he's keeping to himself, Beau has a thing about flowers. He literally sneaks up on them, then attacks, ripping the flower off the plant! Then he settles down to shred it into tiny pieces. Probably eats some, too. It's hard to tell when he bends down and those fluffy ears cover up his face.
I've seen him kill irises, camellias, gardenias . . . anything he can reach. Yesterday, he stripped every flower off a bird of paradise, which was formerly in full, beautiful bloom. At first I thought it was funny the way he stalks and attacks innocent blossoms, but that bird of paradise bush was looking mighty nice, and now it's just leaves.
Is Beau's antipathy for flowers unique, or do your poodles do the same thing?
