What are some of the cute quirks your poodle has?
One of Baxter's cute quirks is that he watches me talk with great concentration and then will mimick me by opening and shuting his mouth too. It's like he's trying to figure out what moving your mouth has to do with the sounds it produces.

Billy definitely has a kitty fetish!! He will stand still as a statue, stare at our kitty, wagging his tail furiously. His sister, Grace, has the exact same obsession. He doesn't go after Isis unless she takes off at a run and then when he catches up with her, he doesn't have a clue what to do with her.

Here's another one of B's quirks: Whenever he finishes the last piece of food in his dog bowl, he'll pick the bowl up, trot up to me and drop it (far enough away that I cannot grab it). Then he'll want to play the "come get my bowl" game. He's so playful and still has a lot of puppy in him.
Ginger talks to me - very softly - so cute I love it - she is very verbal - sighing, making noises when she rolls over etc - but when you have a ball and you tell her say please - she does this little soft two bark - cute!
My silver girl Mimi likes to sass me. She goes to where the cookie jar is and would bark. She has learned that I dont like to be barked at, and it didnt get her what she wants. She now goes to the cookie jar, looks at me and the jar, and back to me, and whisper barks, silently but getting her point across.
Whenever I am sitting down, at the computer or TV, Rufus will come over and drape himself across me. He thinks he is a lap dog.
Scooter will grab one pebble of dog food from the bowl and go all the way across the room and eat it and then repeat, Cash on the other hand will lay down in the floor and hang his head in the bowl and eat (LAZY!) When I am eating Cash will also sometimes bark at me begging to share, he
knows the "Speak" trick and he thinks he can still get food if he randomly barks.
I remember my old poodle girl Maddie used to have to get a pine cone everytime we went to the park and would toteit in her mouth all the way back home and drop it on the porch!

Monroe yawns a lot when he has to go potty.
Both my previous poodle and Roxy lay down to eat. Maybe it's more pratical than standing.... but Roxy lays down with her bowl inbetween her front legs and eats. I thought about buy the raised food bowls, but decided that this must be more comforatble and relaxing to her.

I have a new mini poodle pup and he squats low like a cat, watches my other mini, and then jumps on him like he is pouncing on a rat. He is the cutest thing!
Vaus likes to jump in the tub with my 6 year old son. He will just lay in the water relaxing like he is in a hot tub! This is wouldn't be a problem except for the fact he is in show coat.... another 1 1/2 hours of drying a thick poodle coat....:faint:
Hide and Seek
We have a toy poodle who begs and cries for toys and/or water empty plastic water bottles (we take off label). He grabs the toy or bottle and shoves it as far as he can under the couch, or wedges it between the desk and the wal,l or shoves it behind book shelves...the more impossible to get, the better. He manages to use those little poodle paws, in an arch, to push it as far as he can.
Then, he sits next to the item and cries, whines, talks, seeks out people to help him get the item for hours. You can ignore him, but he won't stop. Reminds me of game little ones play dropping toys from a highchair and waiting for mom and dad to pick them up. The only thing that stops his crying for the toy and hiding it is taking him outside to play. When he gets back inside though, he parks himself next to the item of furniture where the toy is and the whining continues. He lives 5 hours away (with my daughter), but each time she comes home, he heads straight for the area he hid the toy. If he thinks we found it and hid it, he searches the house carefully, even stopping in the garage to look on the table just in case we didn't hide it well.
When I went to move our couch in a whimsical change furniture mood, I found 12 plastic water bottles stashed under it. This fun poodle "game" is exhausting!:curl-lip:

Every time my 7 year old daughter jump ropes, Dutch will come behind her and grab the rope and run off with it! It is too funny to watch.
