Beatrice is relaxing comfortably 3 days post surgery in her surgical shirt, I alternate between the shirt and the cloud collar for her comfort. The 8 staples in her flank annoy Bea, I know from experience that staples tend to pinch a bit as you move.

Thanks Asta's mom, I have been gently combing the rest of her coat, mind you no where near either incision, it seems to help.

Thanks Catherine, Beatrice is really a good sport so if I can ease her discomfort I will.

Get well soon, Beatrice. Then you can come play with me! I have a huge yard to play in.

Guess who is an big dummy...
me I was laying down Beatrice flew off the couch. End result she is very sore, we just got back from the emergency vet, she didn't rupture her sutures or hernia repair and gets to take more pain meds.
Yikes

Akkkk! Bea! No more flying off the couch.:nono:You're going to worry your mom half to death. Glad you're feeling so much better that you can do such a naughty thing. Okay, all kidding aside, I'm very happy that you're home and you're going to be well. Just take care and mind your mom sweet girly. She knows best. :nurse:

Well that was an unexpected plot twist :(. Bea, I'm so glad you didn't get hurt any worse attempting to fly. Hope you feel better again, soon, and that you all get some good rest tonight.

I wonder if an aloe spray could help the irritation from the staples, if your vet thinks it would be ok?

Bea is much better today but goodness she wants to run and play so I've resorted to carrying her so she'll behave. Bea is with me at work today so I am hoping I can get her to behave for a few more days.
