We send Pixie (now 15.5 weeks) to puppy class/socialization 2x a week, 9-1 at a training facility. This was the end of her third week, and the trainer told me that Pixie is the most well adjusted small dog they have in all of their programs, that often small dogs have been overly 'protected' by their owners and are scared of so many things. Pixie gets over her concerns very quickly and just carries on. She's also good with dogs of all sizes (I attribute that to her best buds the golden and large wheaton across the street she plays with every day)

She and I had talked last week about how we're very mindful of not babying her and talking through her fears and how she's a very curious dog who will consider strange things but rarely run from them (though she's not a fan of lawn mowers still ha ha).

I preened with pride like she was talking about my son!!!

(and, I have to say I'm so happy for the guidance I read on here which taught me this!)

That’s wonderful. It’s so nice having a well socialized dog.
