Our toy poodle seemed to spot blood a few times sporadically before her first real heat cycle. We would notice it on her bed sheet where she slept for the night. She had her first heat that lasted for several weeks etc at 17 months old. She did the spotting a few times before 17 months but it only lasted a few days and that was the end. Anyone ever experience this? I would love to hear feedback!

I haven’t but 4 weeks after her first heat is the best time to spay. Are you planning to ?

Hi, yes, we did spay her at 20 months but she has spotted a few times. I posted a thread similar a month or so ago but didn't ask about the spotting before her first heat cycle.

The vet has ruled out a UTI and also did blood work to check progesterone levels and ANH - anti mullein hormone levels. ANH was negative and progesterone level was .092.
