too often to bathe?

Noodle seems to enjoy hoping in the shower with one of us. He's done it twice now. We just have shampooed and conditioned him with Earthbath puppy and then dried (with the human hair dryer) and brushed him after. But now he seems to want shower every day with his humans. My daughter is begging me to let him. How much is too much?

I don't think daily showering with warm water would do any harm, but I would avoid too frequent shampooing. Perhaps just let him enjoy the shower and drying - good practice for later on - and keep the shampoo for when it is needed.

That is super funny! I think I would limit it to once a week at most though on shampoo, but like fjm said getting wet and getting dried is good grooming practice.

Our pup likes to jump in the shower with me and has done so from the day we got her. She doesn’t get shampooed more than once every week or two (depending on what we’ve been doing) but loves to chill in the corner of the shower with me daily. I figured there was no harm as long as she was dry after and nothing was getting in her eyes. If she is getting shampooed, I will do it at the same time as my hair mask is soaking....kill two birds with one stone and save water.
It made her super comfortable around water and she willingly goes in for a bath and has no apprehensions regarding bodies of water either. Since she spent for much time in the water she also doesn’t mind the blow dryer either on her ears/face/feet and a light run over on her body.
