Teeth cleaning

Last time I had the girls teeth cleaned Belle’s reaction to just being dropped off was very concerning. She acted absolutely terrified of going through the door. She has never acted that way before and it made me wonder if she hadn’t been treated poorly in some way. I think she may have been crated during the time that my other girl was being cleaned. She has never been crated for any reason and I thought maybe that put a scare into her. I plan to request she be cleaned first so at least she will be sedated while Princess is cleaned. Belle is a very shy sweet girl that doesn’t take to crating or anything unusual to well. So I was just wondering what thoughts the group my have on this

This is why it is ALWAYS important to crate train your dogs.
Take it as a lesson learned for your next dog.

I think it is a good thing for any dog to be exposed to many different situations, especially when young.

Now teeth cleaning is a necessary event, so she is going to have to go through it. Just don’t make a big deal about it in front of her. Sound happy, and tell her you’ll be back. She’ll have to manage the rest.
Do you have to take them both at the same time? Would it be easier on her if you made her appointment for as early as possible, and picked her up as soon as possible afterwards, and then took Princess another day?
