We just got back from a nice walk in the woods and I noticed that Reggie had stepped in what had to be a small puddle of tree sap. I was able to shave off most of it, but there is still some stuck to his paw pad. Does anyone have any tips on how to safely get tree sap off of a dog? TIA!

I slather on hair conditioner and massage it through the sticky lump I'm trying to remove. Usually I can then break the lump up and comb or rub the particles loose. No harm done if hair conditioner doesn't work; it washes out easily enough.

The conditioner seemed to do the trick! Thank you!
