Great news that the medication is helping him recover so quickly. It sounds like it won't be long before you have a maintenance plan to keep him on the mend.
He really looks a LOT better in these photos. I agree that the groomer should have called you the second she saw the bruising. I don't see how she could have missed it. It would also be good for her to know that it was a life threatening situation that needed immediate attention. I would be surprised if she knew about his disease. Grooming (imo) is a time to do an overall body check to see if there is anything out of the ordinary.
I'm not saying a groomer should be responsible for a vet check, but they should be able to say "Wow! This doesn't look right!" and let you know.
