It's snowing right now, but too warm for it to accumulate. We still have quite a bit on north-facing slopes and sheltered places. Zoe loves snow!
Over the years I have met many people who are surprised that we get so much snow in New Mexico. It is, to a great degree, a function of altitude. The lowest part of the state is at 3500 ft (1000+ meters). We have great ski areas - and they are much cheaper than Colorado! Plus, since we have low humidity, we have "powder" snow that skiers love. So come on out to the southwest for a wonderful winter.
In the last 2 days we've gotten about 7 inches of snow (Rocky's about 10 inches at the withers). Now instead of taking Rocky for a walk, he takes my for a romping run. He absolutely loves the snow. Too bad I can only leash walk him instead of letting him run in a backyard.
