Merry is 11 months old now and starting to go through coat change something fierce. We are heading camping for 5 days and I'm afraid the mats would be out of control by the time we got home, even with some brushing while we're there. So as much as I love her fluff, everything but the tail got shaved down, and the tail got trimmed half length. Oddly enough, I think she looks beautiful! Here's a before and a couple after pictures

I think she looks good to go, for sure! I’ve kept Buck in a short groom with zero regrets, particularly during coat change. It’s almost always hot in Houston and he’s got a Texas-sized black coat.
