Very sweet...just...sigh...wish she'd gone with a reputable, responsible breeder.

Aww, sweet picture.

How do we know where she got the dog? Hoping she didn't give money to the wrong person.

I agree, very cool that she got a poodle, but sad the pup is not from a reputable source. That dog looks like it's from a puppy mill or BYB (unshaven face and feet, scraggly coat).

The background of the picture looks like a home setting, but I also see multilevel crates in the background. The lack of decent grooming raises red flags too. Celebrities have tremendous power to influence and it would be nice if when they got pets they sought the best breeders.

Is it possible it's a mix and a rescue? I've seen quite a few mixes that look more like poodles than anything else. My neighbor has a cockapoo that looks more like a mini than a cocker spaniel

Very unlikely. That "fluffly little red dog" look is super trendy right now. I mean it could be some sort of mini doodle but still almost certainly came from a backyard breeder or middleman seller.

I am pretty certain those are not crates in the background- just drawers. Although I agree that most any reputable breeder introduces grooming very early on, I don’t think we should be creating stories about the pedigree of the dog or the credibility of the breeder based solely on this picture. For all we know it could be a rescue. Food for thought. :)

Yeah, well I would bet my life savings on it that it is not from a reputable breeder or a rescue based on its appearance and how dumb most celebrities are about animals.

Sweet looking puppy.
I looked at the picture and zoomed in and those things in the background are drawers and something that appears to be a fridge or cabnit.
We really should not be speculating about the responsibility of the breeder considering we do not even know if the dog came from a rescue. For all you know she could have asked to breeder to let her hair grow out.

I don't know where Nicole got her puppy or anything about who bred it. I hope she & the puppy are happy together for a lifetime. I wish them the best.

I agree with Cliff & won't speculate on the quality of the breeder because we don't have any information on the puppy other than one snap shot. There are far too many variables that the picture can't answer. Did Nicole request they not shave the face? My husband would. He hates the shaved face. He prefers it short but not shaved close. A lady in my neighborhood only scissors her poodle. No shaving of any sort. The pup's structure looks a little off to me but the way she's holding the puppy... can't tell a lot. And the things in the background are a set of mobile storage drawers. I wish I thought of those before I bought the storage stuff for my grooming supplies. Those would have been nicer than what I chose.

Either way, I hope the pup was either well selected or adopted. Who knows the puppy might have been a gift & she didn't select the breeder. The Hollywood folks I have encountered weren't foolish. Of course the people who came to me tended to be for security dogs & if they came off as silly or foolish, I declined the job. So perhaps my screening process sifted the wheat from the chaff.

Well I have worked for MANY Hollywood people, having lived in Beverly Hills and Calabasas for 10 years, so I definitely feel qualified to say most of them are IDIOTS when it comes to their pets.

And, I can also speculate all I want about Nicole's dog. It is a crappy quality mill dog. I pray for the dogs in cages who created it.

To clear something up, MaizieFrosty, I never once said what you, or anyone else, could or could not say. I simply stated my opinion & why. I'm sorry that your experiences with people in Hollywood have been so negative. I'm glad mine were so different. Didn't mean to cause upset. Just different experiences. They have to travel to come to me so that alone helps because they have to really want to put in the time or they won't be on my field long.

It's all good, dogsavvy. I'm just very passionate in my opinions LOL I don't like celebs and I don't like puppy mills.
