My 4 year old standard poodle has been diagnosed with SA. It took 2 years to get diagnosis because it appeared to be a seasonal loss of hair. As soon as weather got hot he started shedding. He had regrowth during cold months. Last year was very long hot summer and in September he had a second shedding with minimal regrowth. We did test in Spring and got positive result for SA. Oil soaks have helped greatly with regrowth but now it is turning hot again and I see new shedding. The seasonal shedding may be a secondary issue to SA. Has anyone run into this problem?
