Saturday is Grooming day

Usually Saturday I do a little grooming so today I gave Blue a raw meaty bone in the bathtub to clean her teeth, then gave her a bath and scissored her body quite short, and shaped her topknot. I was going to shave fft but then she scampered outside to have a little run around so her feet touched the ground before I had a chance (don’t want to dull my blade). Oh well I’ll do that next week I guess. Anyway she smells so sweet and clean now :) Anyone else spend their day poodling? We went for a walk and played lots of fetch too, after grooming. :)

Need pics!! :)

Sunday mornings are normally bath and touch-up day with a promenade around the local farmers market... But this week was anything but normal. It's safe to say we've been poodling all week... 24/7

Tuesday: 2 car sickness barfs + a roll in wet poop = bath + Shaved face

Friday: 1.5 hr walk in rain down pour after PNW fires and cabin fever = bath

Blue looks great!

I also spent Saturday pooling grooming. I try to do a bath and some kind of touch up every 2-3 weeks to get him (and me) used to the equipment. I'm still new to home grooming and Ziggy is still wiggly so it takes a LONG time. Yesterday's focus was a body shave since he has started the coat change.

This was my first time doing something other than just FFT at home, and it didn't come out as bad as I expected. His front legs are a little choppy as that is where he is most wiggly.
