Regarding genetic testing results, does anyone know how to read this? I know what VwD is but not sure what DNA clear by parentage means. Also, what is NE? Thanks.

NE - carrier
VwD - DNA clear by parentage

Clear by parentage means the dog him or herself didn't have to have a test for VwD because the combination of their parents couldn't produce VwD. If that makes sense! Minis, who are prone to PRA, can also be clear by parentage meaning they themselves don't have to undergo testing due to their parents scores.

NE stands for Neonatal Encephalopathy. You wouldn't want to see a NE carrier bred to another NE carrier. http://www.caninegeneticdiseases.net/ataxia/StdPooNE.htm

This probably explains it better than I did:

NOTE ABOUT "vWD clear by parentage": This works like the notation under PRCD above -- if both parents have tested genetically clear of vWD, they CAN'T pass it on to their progeny. By breeding only from vWD clear parents, conscientious breeders ensure that pups will not be affected.

Can I just say how happy it makes me to hear people asking these questions. Sigh.... The educated Poodle owner/buyer makes my heart go pitter-patter.:beauty:

You still need to see some evidence that the dogs are clear by parentage right? I mean the breeder should have some documentation or it should be on offa.org correct?
