Yes please ! It might even be interesting to learn about how and why you chose the stud to complement her and what testing had to be done for each.
Great question, thank you. This pairing was chosen to improve on many things; both dogs have things to offer to each other structurally, temperamentally, etc. For example, London has a lovely shoulder layback and is well squared. She is lacking upperarm angulation, so we chose the stud who had a bit more front angle to offer, and a tad more rear drive. London is higher energy, while Yuri is a bit more laid back. Those are just a few of the things we look at when choosing a suitable pairing.
Before being bred, all dogs must be health tested to ensure breeders are producing the healthiest puppies possible. Yuri has OFA Excellent hips, his CAER eye exam is clear & up to date, clear for all genetic diseases, has been tested for genetic diversity, and so on. London has had her LCP evaluation, cardiac, dentition, elbows, and patellas examined as well. In addition to basic health testing, we look at each pedigree for any history of autoimmune diseases, allergies, bloat, and other common breed issues that we want to steer clear from. Knowledge is a powerful tool.
