Puppy Teeth Problem... Need HELP Please

I have a problem with Morgan's puppy canines. They are still very solid in her mouth & her secondary teeth are coming in. Any suggestions on how I can get them out before I take her to the vet & have them removed? Tug of war with the rope toy didn't work like it did for my others. I've tried massaging her gums & even tried moving them myself. I'm out of ideas. Help Please?

I've got nothing for that one....
Of my guys I've only ever removed "doubles" once and it was a real pain in the @$$... for the vet I mean lol. I insitsed on being present for the procedure and had already marked the tooth to be removed and wanted to make darn sure that they didn't pull the wrong ones. What can I say... I'm anal, and had spent a lot of money on my new show girl and had already done quite well with her - Didn't want a vet tech's mistake to mess that up for me lol.

How far along are the adult teeth now? Is the tooth in question already fulling in or just starting to come in? It may need more time ?? I always tend to play the waiting game longer than other though. You would think that giving chew toys and such would help loosen them if they are going to fall out on their own.

A couple of them have already broken through. I had been trying to to do the wait thing but I think I'm out of time already.

If they are just breaking through, I don't see a reason to stress just yet. Some of my dogs have them more than half in before the baby tooth loosens.

Are you planning to show this puppy too and are worried about the bite?

No I'm not showing Morgan but I don't want to ruin her mouth if I don't have to. She's already hindred by the bad dock job on her tail.

That's how moose's were more than half before the baby even got lose! I tried to yank it out with plyers once and it was solid so I ddn't pull to hard... oddly he didn't even mind. I think he has a SUPER HIGH pain tolerance he never yelps, and even when he got shots the vet said he never flinched or cared...

I think you should not worry yet

Just start shaking the baby teeth everyday. My vet told me this many years ago and it has worked on both my yorkies and worked on Chole. Good luck!

I had this with my maltese.....a second row of teeth and

had them removed when he was neutered at nine months.

How old is your dog?

Morgan is 6mo. Most of her other teeth have come out quite nicely. It's only the canines that are so rock solid.

Thats how moose was too.
He had two touching for a whilet hen it finally fell out.

Hard chew toys, raw meaty bones and wait. At 6 months I would think you could afford to wait another month if then they are still there, off to the vet for removal.

I've never removed teeth before 8 or 9 months and most often at a year and haven't had a bite go wrong yet. Still though -everything with a grain of salt right, and my breed is different from poodles.

If they don't come out, on their own I ask the vet when they think they should be removed and of course use your judgement

Update - Morgan FINALLY lost all 4 of her canines! WHEW I was really getting worried with how far the new teeth were coming in & how solid the baby teeth were, but we're in the clear now.
