Okay we all know about poodles. But I thought just for fun why don't we play a puppy identification breed guessing game.

Basically lets see how long it takes to get these right. When someone gets one right. We will mark that one off the list.

Just for fun. Its pouring down rain here and freezing and my pups are curled up under the covers right now. So why not.

I know its not a poodle topic but games can be fun.

Now here is the kicker. 3 of these dogs are mixes and the rest are purebreds.

There are

Dog 1:

Dog 2:

Dog 3:

Dog 4:

My guesses...

Dog 1: Alaskan Klee Kai! :) Would have said husky but it's too tiny and the markings are just like a Klee Kai...
Dog 2: Looks like a poodle to me! (the pic makes it look purple too!! lol)
Dog 3: that's gotta be a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever!
Dog 4: Some sort of pit mix, maybe lab? Not so sure on this one
Dog 5: Again, not so sure... could be a husky mix
Dog 6: Now that's a poodle!! I could swear that was Desmond looking me in the face!! Haha isn't that poodle on this board too?
Dog 7: American Staffordshire Terrier
Dog 8: Australian cattle dog probably
Dog 9: I have NO clue!! lol

EDIT: oops!! Accidentally put "american cattle dog"!! Lol

Is dog 1 a Native American Indian Dog?
I don't even know if that is a recognized breed, but I've seen people who have them, or so they say, and they are very similar.

You got:
1 Incorrect
2 Correct (though not a mix)
3 Correct
4 Yes and no (close but no cigar, need more than just Terrier mix)
5 yes and no (The dog is part husky)
6 correct
7 correct
8 Correct
9. Not a labradoodle
Hahahaha on #2!! I had missed the last picture so I was going by your original hint that 3 were mixes - I changed my post to say #2 wasn't a mix after I added #9...

Whew!! OK so is #5 a Huskador (husky/lab?)

I'm horrible with the mixes - We had a stray mix at the shelter once that was a STUMPER - I put on his kennel card that he was a Monkey Mix (cuz I just didn't know!!) :)

Yes number 1 is indeed an Alaskan Klee Kai

So we still need number 4, 5 and 9.

Number 4 is not a pit mix. Infact number 4 grew up to be a rather small dog

And yes number 6 is my minature poodle Zachary

I'll give you number 5, with mixes you never know. The dog looks more like a husky/lab than a Husky/Shepherd which is what the dog is believed to be.

Number 9 is kind of a throw away, the dog was from the same litter as another dog pictured. But looks different

I meant to post a different dog and didn't realize which one I posted until I already posted the picture. I didn't mean to post two from same litter

Skye:

Yes 9 is mixed with Jack Russell Terrier, so is Number 4.

Anyone care to venture a guess at what that mix is?

Hint: 19lbs full grown

Then we will have them all

Or maybe it's a Jack X Italian Greyhound.

Those tulip ears have got me on those Sight hounds.
No not exactly.

If we go by what we adopted her as: She is a Jack russell Terrier/Chihuahua mix

Anyways great guesses and it was fun... Next time I will come up with some harder ones

You own #4?? She is soooooo cute! :)

And so is 9. Nine would be a good dog to use in those sad "adopt me" ads on TV.
