I have an Oster A5 2-speed clipper. It recently started making a squealing sound and rattling slightly. From looking at the manual, I think I need to oil a ball bearing.
But I can't find the bearing. I've taken off the nameplate, the carbon brushes, and the back end. I'm not good with machines, and I don't even really know what I'm looking for. The picture in the manual is no help.

Anyone know where the ball bearing is?

With things like that I get the clipperman who sharpens the blade to take a look. I never trust if I will wreck it.

clipper care

Hi. I use both oyster and Andis clippers. Do you change blades often, ie, different sizes. sometimes its the little post that moves the blades back and forth that needs replacing. If you do alot of grooming that could be the problem . I groom 10 hours a day six days a week and never have had to oil a bearing.

That could be what's causing the rattle, but the squeal is coming from down in the handle. I think I'll call the company and see if they know what's wrong.
Thanks everybody for replying :D.
