Poor little guy! I'm sure he'll be his energetic self in no time. He's so cute. I think you did a nice job cutting him. And I love the picture of him and Angel in the snow. Looks like they're good playmates.
My vet had no problems with neutering him now, he is a week short of 6 months. I have never had a vet that didn't fix a dog at 6 months so I am not sure why your vet says 1-2 years old. Maybe some feel it is better??? Jester was already showing a lot of interest in girls and was trying to mount them, testing out his testosterones. I don't want him to ever feel like a "male" so I chose to do him now so as to avoid any future hormones with him. Maybe others have other thoughts on this, but I have never had any problems with fixing a dog at 6 months.how old is he? my vet recommended waiting until Dutch was around 1-2 years when he was done growing. just curious what others think about this. I think I saw this discussion elsewhere, but am too lazy to find it!!
she said she would do it sooner if he was showing signs of unwanted male behavior. she just feels it is better on their bones to wait till they are done growing. My vet had no problems with neutering him now, he is a week short of 6 months.
