Poodles and people with autism

I decided on a poodle because my daughter is autistic. Poodles are a very perceptive breed and can read a human being better then any breed of dog IMO. If a dog is NOT accustomed to a certain person (specifically an autistic person) from puppyhood it might not understand WHAT its perceiving exactly. It might be confused and therefore wary around your autistic sister. Just keep using positive reinforcement, asking your sister to give your pup treats and such. I truly wish you luck!
