I just noticed Jessie has a pink edge on one of her paw pads. It doesn't really look red, it's not moist, and it doesn't seem to bother her. But I never noticed it before. Any ideas? We're out of town exploring a new area, and she did have a foxtail burr on her leg just above this paw. Maybe she stepped on something that irritated it? Would you just keep an eye on it, or should I treat it with something?

I can't say for sure, but to me it just looks like an area of lighter pigment.

It doesn’t look too red to me but it could be from the lighting. In doubt, I always disinfect. You could use hydrogen peroxyde (3%) a few times, making sure he doesn’t lick it (not dangerous if he licks, as it is used to induce vomiting in emergencies, but still).

I think it looks pretty normal. Right now I’d just watch it.

I know bot my poos have a natural pinkish area about there. I’ll snap a picture when I get home. But it’s like where the tough black part turns into the softer foot area.
