My little Pumpkin had an anal gland infection a while back. We expressed brown purulent fluid from it. She was seen by a vet and at that time given antibiotics. Since then her hair around her anal area is always stained. Like tear stains. I cut it off and it comes back. She has taken Glandex. But that doesn’t stop this awful staining. She looks she has poop on her butt all the time. Anyone know how to get rid of this? She is white with a slight touch of apricot.

I wonder why she still has brown stains if there is no more pus from the infection ? Is there still dampness in that area ? Or stools staining the hair ? I think finding the cause is necessary to find a solution.

Dechi makes an excellent point. .... figure out the cause of the stain and correct that to eliminate the problem. was the anal gland damaged and now leaking?

On a light colored dog tears can stain, other secretions can stain and excessive licking can stain.
