Does any one know what the aceptable range is for the PennHip test? That is what was done on the parents of my puppy and i want to be able to read the results better when i get the paperwork.

I would reject as unacceptable any hip score of .50+ in either hip. If the dam or sire had scores in the .40s, I'd like to see that the other had scores in the low .30s or better.

So if someone said their Pennhip scores were in the 60th percentile... Would that equate to .40? Or would that be .6?

Yes. A .40 means that the hips are tighter than 60% of the poodles tested. You can see where this could be a problem. If only poodles with bad hips had their hips tested, it would skew the data.
