Olive Diaries - Chapter One - My past
Hi,
I am Olive. I live in a cosy home in Calgary, Alberta, Canada with my human, Kia. She loves me so much and I am pampered like a princess! I think we were meant to be together. But, many months ago, things were not the same....
I am from a breeder in La Crête, Alberta, Canada. I was born on the night of January 30, 2020, when the northern lights were shining brightly in the night sky. My mother was a merle poodle named Nova and my father was an apricot poodle named Teddy. I was born with my siblings, Dixie was the demanding female, merle pup. Ginger was a female, apricot puppy, she was the runt of the litter. Pepper was my shy, black brother. My shy sister, Milo, was a phantom poodle. Peanut was my playful, red brother. Ruby was my prissy, red sister. And best of all was Marble, my playful merle brother! We were best friends and played all day long! I still miss Marble. I hope he is doing well. My father almost never wanted to be brushed. His top priority was keeping a watch on what all was happening around him! He was on the short and skinny side since he was a very picky eater, he was only 11 inches tall. That is probably where I got some of my picky habits from. My mother was a large dog for her breed type, she was 15 inches tall. That is the largest size a miniature poodle can get. My adoption was announced a week before the big day. I overheard my breeder cheerfully saying “Little Olive has found a loving family!”. My mom heard her too. “ First Milo, then Dixie and now Olive! ” she cried. The rest of the week was full of sorrow, all my siblings were booked and all the owners paid the deposits. When the day of the adoption came, all of my siblings were put in a crate in a car and were taken far away from my friends, my mother and father and my home. I did not know what would come next….
