So I found a breeder close (in my city) by that is willing to guild me through the showing process, clipping ect.

She didn't have her dog's registered names on her website(very very basic website) so when I went to visit her and her dogs I wrote down her dogs names (she only has two adult dogs and two show prospect puppies) when I got home I went straight to the OFFA website and her dogs are NOT listed! When I asked her why she said she just never submitted the paperwork for it to go on the website, she said if she could find all the paperwork I could see the original copies... Is this true? do breeders have to submit paperwork and pay fees?

My mind is telling me to run but my heart is telling me to find out more, This woman is warm and seems genuine and is everything besides this issue to the T that I am looking for!

I would look further into it. She sounds like she may be new to showing herself and I dont recall if the results are automatically listed or if thats a request you have to make with OFA to have them listed.

Are you sure she isnt thinking of the prelim testing? Maybe she had preliminary test's done and is confusing it with OFA. Those wont be listed.

Back when we had our Amstaff done I remember filling out a form at the vets office and after the x rays were completed, they submit the x rays to OFA. Mind you my husband set up all the health testing for our dogs back then. I just took them to the appointments. I remember him calling around because I dont believe all vets work with OFA. We took her to this particular vet just for her hips.

I still dont recall if the results are automatically listed on the website or if thats something you request. I'd ask my hubby, but he's out golfing.

Editing; My husband says he recalls having to request the results be listed on the site when you feel out the forms to be sent in. So if she didnt request it, then maybe thats why its not listed online.
