I have 10 month old mini poodle. He is going to have his first bath/clip this week. He is a bit of a mess so I doubt he's going to be a very happy pup. I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what a good cut would be? And how I can make the experience a good one for him, you see I got him from a shelter and he had been abandoned. He still very loving even though what he's been through.

He's very cute!!!!

being that he's just been sprung from jail- you'll probably be advised to get him clipped shorter to help get rid of any matts and then grow out from there. Browse through and find some clips (Not that i'm no expert i'm new but just went through this 2 weeks ago!)

there's puppy clips- and lamb clips, and german clips... os if you sorta get an idea of what your wanting to work towards show the groomer now (which is what i did) she couldn't do 'that clip' today as we had to go short- but she kept it in mind when shaping (IE did not pom pom his tail)

there's some good options with pictures in this thread
