We’ve had several of these Hartz Dura
Play toys over the years. They are actually great toys and amazingly , they even are pretty Joey proof. He could chew and destroy them but for some reason he doesn’t. He loves to squeeze them and make them squeak. 🤣 Bobby likes the Dura Play balls especially. As usual, even if I get one for each of them, the one the other has is the better
one. 🤪
By tomorrow they won’t care.

Any poodles out there recently get a new toy?😊

The looks like a lovely toy! I'll bet Pinot would love it.

Shortly after we brought him home, some friends came over and gave him a pride Lambchop plush toy. It was Pride season and he loved it so much! We were very tickled at the places he preferred to chew on the toy, which I'll leave to your imagination. We kept chuckling to ourselves "This is indeed the future that liberals want."

That toy remains a perennial favorite of his. He has graduated to pulling the eyelashes off with great relish, holding the toy with his front paws in a surprising show of dexterity while he precisely nibbles the eyelashes off with his front teeth. Then he turns to the knit face and feet, tearing those apart with pretty impressive accuracy. I don't think his goal is destruction but I do think he loves the feeling of the fibers resisting and then giving finally.

He loves any toy with a "nubbin" as we call them: some small protrusion that he can chomp on his side molars to carry and then nibble on with his front teeth.

Anyway, he so loves "Lambie" as we call it that we have bought multiple copies, afraid we'll run out some day. When one wears out, we replace it.

He only gets Lambie when he goes in the crate when we leave the house, and for ten minutes or so when we get back. He loves carrying it in his mouth to the chair while we say hello.

His birthday is coming up at the end of this month. I couldn't resist the giant Lambie I saw at the pet store a few weeks ago and I bought it. I'll report back to let you know whether it has the same magic or not.

Kukla has a Hartz Dura Play ball that he initially loved. He still likes it, but the novelty has worn off, so he's no longer as attached to it. Due to Joey and Bobby's recommendation, I might buy Kukla the Hartz Dura boomerang.

Kukla also has the squirrels in the log toy pictured in the post by @Happy'sDad . There are a few toys he tends to destroy and this one falls into that category. The ears on the squirrels didn't last long. Then he started focusing on the log. I no longer leave it out for him, but rather just bring it out when I play fetch with him. He really, really likes the log and becomes quite excited when he sees it.

Loki (spoo) and Rosy (cockapoo) love the lambchops. Unfortunately, Rosy destroys them. PetSmart had spring ones out, but they are currently out so I can't replenish them. I also recently bought Loki a Nerf gun that shoots little balls. Despite the fact that he is a 45lb spoo, he prefers small toys and small balls. The range on the Nerf gun is adjustable so I can use it inside. Loki does not like his precious Nerf balls to touch the grass and get dirty.

I have already traveled from post office to post office trying to find my favorite stamps (for my other hobby: snail mail, especially postcards)... and I resorted to paying an exorbitant fee for a sheet of stamps on eBay once.

I'm looking down the future at myself surfing eBay for pride lambies and paying some outrageous king's ransom for them. I need to stop by the store on my way home to get a few more... maybe I should see if I can buy some direct from the manufacturer? What do you think would be the minimum order...?

@I_love_dogs , I wonder about a Nerf gun... I bet Pinot would go nuts for it! Dare I open that Pandora's box?

@athamese According to reviews, the Nerf guns only work with Nerf balls. The balls are pretty light and wouldn't hold up to an aggressive chewer. I really like the ability to pick up the slobber ball without having to touch it. Other complaints are that the rubber band breaks, but that seems to involve people that are trying to put more than one ball in at a time or using non-Nerf balls.
