Greetings all!

I'm a newly converted poodle fan! My daughter, Katy, brought home a female chocolate standard poodle puppy a little over a year ago (Katy and Chalumeau are pictured in my avatar) and introduced her dad and me to the splendors of standard poodles!!

My first dog (Meika, whom I had to escort to the rainbow bridge in May 2009) was a mini dachshund and, while I still love the tenacious attitudes of those German varmint dogs, I've come to love the quiet royalty of the standard poodle, too. I will probably always have a weiner dog in my life (my "baby" dachsie, Juliet, is now 8 years old) and I've also decided that I won't be without a poodle either (good thing my husband likes to make me happy!)

Our newest family member is Princess Lucybug Fancy Pants Plum; a sweet, beautiful, smart red standard pupppy from Arreau Standard Poodles in Ontario. We picked up Lucy on Sunday 10/25 and she has melded so perfectly with our current pack (Katy's spoo, dachsie Juliet, and our 10 year old mix-breed Hannah) that it's like she's always been part of our family.

Lucy has yet to have an potty accident in the house (which I think is stellar for an 8 week old puppy!) and she walks on the leash like a pro! She's a happy, self-confident little squirt and I can't wait to watch her grow and develop into the gorgeous adult I know she'll be.

I've put our name down for rally classes starting in January - I know she'll do great! I'm pretty excited to show her off!!

So... that's my pack... I've been lurking and (occasionally) posting for a little while, now - and I thought I'd introduce myself officially since I'm now officially owned by a spoo!

Thanks for listening! :)

Thank you all for your compliments! We are enjoying the heck out of this little girl!! Oh, and heather... Lucy is Rogan's 1/2 brother!! Her sire is Dugan.

I just spent my lunch hour at home with her and I wish I could stick her in my pocket to bring her back to work with me! Love, love, love her!!

Thanks, Trillium!! I hope Lucy grows up to be as beautiful as her big sisters (although I know she will!) I've heard lots about you and your family and how happy Betty Jo and Jenny are there! You can bet that I'll be bragging my girl up as she grows and develops! Thanks for the welcome!

I just wanted to say what an incredible thrill it has been, going through this process with Plumcrazy!! She has been keen, eager, excited, willing to listen....I do not know what more a breeder could ask for in a new Mama!! I am so happy to have Princess Lucybug Fancy Pants in this home. I have been blessed with many awesome families, but every litter, you are fortunate enough to meet some folks who you know will remain a part of your life forever!! I had Trillium and a few others last year, and at least three of the five this year. We are even planning a Poodle reunion in Oklahoma City within the next year or so!!

I am anxious and thrilled that you are going to get Lucy into Rally, and hopefully one day she will get her Rally titles and then maybe obedience could be next??? Looking forward to tons of photos of your new baby too. And guiding you through the grooming process. Love you lots, and please give Lucybug big squeezes from her first human Mommy!!

I want to thank Cherie at Arreau, too! I've learned so much from her and she's been so patient with me and my endless questions! She was always professional and informative throughout the poodle princess procurement process.

We're so pleased with Lucybug and she has quickly become an indispensable member of our family. She was definitely worth the wait!! Looking forward to the reunion! I know how much hubby loves to drive long distances for poodles!! lol!!
