Hi my name is Erikka, I am retired, disabled due to military PTSD, currently in single mode. I have with my former partner and my children have had four standards over the years. All of them beautiful and wonderful dogs. I will be looking for a new dog in late fall/early winter to replace the standard that my former partner graciously loaned to me while I was in the worst of my PTSD. I am looking for recommendations for breeders that breed for health and temperament. Any and all recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
Hi Erikka my poodles are both really good at reading their people's moods and ups and downs. I am sure you will find a wonderful pup to be your friend and helper. If you tell us where you are located and/or where you are willing to travel to I am sure we can give you some leads.
Thank you for your service to our great nation during precarious times. The 21st century has been a bumpy ride.
I live on the coast on the North-West corner of California almost 300 miles north of San Francisco. My bumpy ride was in South-East Asia 50 years ago. I am willing to travel to almost any where in the lower 48 and southern Canada.
Oh yes that was a bumpy ride too. You might want to look up MaizieFrosty's breeders. She is in Cali and her dogs are both wonderful and have done sports and/or therapy work. You wouldn't have to trek all over North America either.
Welcome.
Thank you for serving our country.
I agree with Cathrine that you should see if you can talk to MaizieFrosty's breeder. If that does not look you could try looking on the Poodle Club of Americas Website.
Best of luck for your search for a poodle.
Welcome to PF and thank you for your service. There are some great standard breeders in your state and I don’t think you will have any trouble finding your new partner.
