We would like to introduce our new little boy...or should I say my daughter's little boy. He is a 2yr old 2.8lb yorkie who we met at the recent fun match. His name is Alastor and is a doll. His owner had to go into a nursing home and decided that since he and my daughter hit it off at the show our home is where he should be. He loves our dogs like crazy (I think he has OCD or something because his tongue is ALWAYS going) and they are great with him as well so far. Mostly they ignore him like they do the cats. Our shar pei acts like we adopted him just for her. She follows him around and sleeps next to him. We have never had such a tiny dog so Im nervous about not steping on him or shutting the door on him or sitting on him and am worried about how skinny he is. His old owner said yorkies are just scrawny. He is AKC registered and not fixed yet. He is gold and black which I think is a fault as they are supposed to turn blue I think. My daughter has been wanting a small maltese but is quite happy with Alastor. She thinks he needs a wardrobe, sigh. Tiny dogs don't REALLY need clothes do they? Anyway, this is new for us so advice is appreciated.
