My library has requested I post something about having fun with your dog while you’re sheltering at home.

What would you suggest I write? What resources would be good to provide?

i was going to suggest training tricks with links to AKC tricks and Do More With Your Dog.

I thought of also providing links to other good trainers like Kikopup.

I think the training tricks is a wonderful idea - lots of fun and so many that you can train when sheltered. The links you would provide will be of great interest to those who like the idea of training tricks. I applaud your library for their program.

I think games you can play with your dog would be fun and helpful. Bonus if bored children can also play.

"Find It" is a great one.

"Find Me" is a fun variation.

I'm not sure if where's a name for it, but the recall game where humans stand in different rooms and take turns calling and treating the dog is a great training tool AND burns doggy energy.

AKC Trick Dog titles can be completed via video. There is a link on their website for a special form for evaluators to fill out. And you can video your dog doing tricks. I'm currently working on Trick Dog Advanced. I'm teaching Noelle to dance on her hind legs.

Great ideas, and I’m glad the tricks is a good idea.

Click, thanks for letting me know AKC is allowing filming of tricks to count. I know someone who was doing it, but I thought she was able to do it because she knew the evaluator. I’ll be certain to add that.

“Find” and “Find me” are excellent additions. I can Do photography and making treats in different posts on the website.

Thank you everyone.
