Hi Everyone, I've just joined. I am on the look out for a female mini
poodle puppy. I live near Washington, DC and there are very few breeders in this
area. I'm willing to travel - say 150 miles or so to find one with a
reputable establishment. I would be grateful for help!

Minis are harder to find than toys or standards. These breeders are a little beyond your 150 mile range but worth checking with. There is Eriand on Long Island. My mom has an Eriand mini as do a couple of other people I know and a couple of members here. My mom's boy is a nice and healthy (smallish) boy. The other one to check on is Songbird in Connecticut. A friend has a very nice (oversize) Songbird mini who she runs in obedience and rally. My friend had bumpy interactions with the breeder, but her dog is really nice.
