Hi poodle fans, I have a 20 week old mini little lady, she is soo good with me but she is a little mean to her sister who lives with mum. Mums dog is a bossy boots and wants to play all the time and my little lady is so laid back and I think she wants a bit of peace. Any comments would be really helpful.

Can you tell us a little about what you're seeing? What seems mean to you and what precedes it?

Puppies need a LOT of sleep (up to 20 hours a day!) so it's understandable your girl might need her space. I'd ensure she always has somewhere quiet to retreat to and that she's not disturbed when she takes these timeouts.

If she seems to be getting grumpy but isn't retreating, you should put her down for a little nap, just like a toddler.

Yes I do make sure meila get enough of her own space but she seem to want to spend it with me, which I don’t mind, when she goes to see her sis tal goes hyper and meila gets a little vexed. X
