My brown pups in a litter we had have scruffy thin wire coats, why?

I had a litter of 6 pups. 2 are brown and they both have totally different hair coats and texture, wiry, thin coats. I have talked to a few breeders that have seen the same thing. Any ideas why my browns end up like this as pups. Nice coats as adults but bad as puppy’s. ?
The male is out of Forever lines not sure if that matters or if it's been seen in that line alot?

I have a 14 week old Brown male and he has the same wiry coat you are describing. His coat is entirely different than my other spoo who is light apricot.

Realy? Can you tell me about mom and dad coat and if any testing was done on them? Both the mom and dad to mine have DNA testing OFA testing all coat test say correct coat genetics but then I end up with this in only the browns. Have you seen it before and how did the adult hair coat look? Did the breeder say any thing about it?

Sorry, I must have read your initial post a little too quickly. My brown pup does have more of a wiry coat texture but his hair is not thin. It has seemed to soften as he gets older and groomed. Parents had correct coat genetics. I'm curious to see if it's a color thing?
