That feeling when your freshly blow dried poodle bounces himself straight into a bog of pure mud, about 8" deep. I think it's because the boyfriend called him a "frou frou" dog and he had to prove how not frou frou he is. Man I'm exhausted. He's played in muddy puddles before and I've never had much trouble getting him cleaned up. But this was like thick viscous mud and it was caked into his fur along with burrs. What a nightmare. I had to spray him down with water, spray him down with conditioner and detangler, and then slowly work all the mud out and then blow dry him to get the last of it. He's so tired. I'm sure he would still say it was worth it. And now I still have work to do this evening. At least the dog's happy.
On the upside, we've been working a lot on his recall to a whistle, and today I successfully recalled him during some extremely high distraction moments. Very proud of him.
