Mourning the loss of a poodle extraordinary

We lost our 14 year old standard in June, and are just now feeling ready to love again. Teddy came to us from rescue at 3, and was the smartest, most loving bundle of curls ever. Trying decided between a puppy or rescue, but one thing's for sure — it will be poodle!

Happy to find this forum.

So sorry for your loss... :( I had to say goodbye to my first dog (not counting childhood pets) last May and it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do in my life. We welcomed our new standard poodle puppy, Lucybug Fancypants, into our hearts and home last October and her antics have brought joy and sunshine into our lives!

Good luck with your poodle search and keep us updated with pictures when the lucky new family members comes home!!
Sorry for your loss - But also very glad you had him for a long dog life. I hope I am so lucky.

I'm sorry also that you lost your beloved boy, Teddy. I'm thankful that he found his way to your loving home and that he got to reach 14! That is wonderful ... for him... saying goodbye is never easy.
I hope your memories of him bring smiles more than tears very soon, and you find another to enjoy your home and love.

Karen
