So everytime ive gone out in the last few days with Mister i get asked the same question over and over....is he a show dog. I laugh and politely tell them "no he is just a pet"....he's in a short Miami not a full continental LOL.

Non Poodle people are so darn funny sometimes. Just this morning walking into work a woman said to me "wow he is gorgeous, he looks like one of those Westminster dogs". I swear im not making that one up, even if i tried i couldnt of made it up lol. I told her thank you and continued on our way lol.

Any one else get this? I mean my dog is well groomed and i know people dont see Spoos that often but he's nowhere close to a show dog he he.

Yes, I have had people ask if Jackson is a show dog. Poodles aren't so common and they are very striking even if they come from byb's. Jackson has a beautiful coat and he has that wonderful poodle prance. He's as good as a show dog to me!
Ha ha yep the poodle prance is striking!
Everyone always talks about Captain's Poodle Prance too. "I didn't know Poodles really did that?!" I love when he runs, it's so cute.
Yep I get asked that as well and always wonder what they're thinking.

I think the weirdest comment I ever got on one of my poodles was while I was walking Vega and some 11/12 year old kid asked, "Is that a great dane?"...lol i was pretty baffled.

LOL a great dane?? kids say the darnest things :)

Also, SURPRISINGLY people ask if Titan is a show dog......................and I know he is not show quality WHATSOEVER (I got him from a BYB, i know i know that's bad..didn't know any better before I started reading this forum) - He has a bad tail, bad color pigmentation, no show clip...yea I don't know what they're thinking.....It might be his cute little walk though :)
I get lots of comments on Jager's "poodle prance"... he does look so darn cute when he's trotting.

I also get "Does he have some poodle in him?"

Yep, all of him, in fact.
Non poodle people just dont know...its like the Jeep add ya know "its a Jeep thing"....they just dont understand because "its a Poodle thing" ha ha
People often comment on Matrix being so beautiful and what not, but never say anything about Mitch. Mitch is conformationally sound, has a docked tail, nice gait, etc. Matrix has this waggle butt gait because of his hip dysplasia, full tail, and is a bad black...

I appreciate the comments because it shows that I must take good care of my dogs.

All the time, especially this time of year. Romeo's lamb cut is longer and he really looks like a polar bear, and Brandy's miami inspired cut with bell bottoms is also longer and the bells are big!!! People stop me all the time to comment on how beautiful they are and if they are show dogs. lol
I've never gotten asked if Desmond was a show dog before, lol. I do constantly get people asking me about his grooming though. "How much does it cost?" "Where do you get it done?" "He's so pretty, he looks so clean!" (strangely enough, people only say this when he desperately needs a bath too, haha) "I love that he's not in one of those stupid poof ball cuts" and that's when I shamefully look away because I totally want to put him in a "stupid poof ball cut" eventually hahaha.

Is Matrix the white dog in your avatar?
Aw, Mister is quite handsome! Poodles are flashy dogs and garner attention everywhere they go.
I don't hear that often but I hear about everything else though. Especially about their cut. Billy usually gets a lot of attention. As soon as people see him they oooh and aaaah and ask if they can touch him. He holds himself in a regal way and it think they are mesmerized by it.
I always get asked "What kind of dog is that????" I say she's a poodle :) Ooohhhh "Why is her hair cut like that?" (continental) I say ummm I like it like that. "Weird! Can we touch her?" And then the poof squishing begins :D
yup, seeing Paris gets to meet everyone who comes in to work she's quite well known and a lot of people bring in friends or family to meet her when they drop off/pick up their baby! And yes, I'm constantly asked if I show her. I tell them we do obedience & agility, but we don't do the special breed showing because she'd have to be in the big fluffy 'pom pom' trim (they understand *exactly* what I mean then, rather than if I try to tell them about the continental...! haha!)

Most people comment 'I didn't know poodles could get that big...... is that the giant ones?' they're always shocked when I say no, she's a standard poodle, so I usually have to add that standards *are* the biggest ones, you don't get giant poodles. haha!

Oh, I got a new one just the other day when Paris jumped up to meet a new customer, her immediate reaction was "ohhh wow, is that an afghan!??" lol! I guess her topknot was floppier than I thought....? hahahaha!

Matrix is black, Mitch is cream.

When I first got Jackson he had been cut very short all over. At the dogpark one morning a nice young man complimented Jackson and then said, "It's so nice to see a poodle without the silly haircut." I didn't have the heart to tell him it was only because his hair wasn't long enough yet!

Ah the poof squishing!!! I know all about that! At work when people meet him they always go straight for the top knot and just squish lol. Am i weird that i always pet his clean face or his body lol?

Lol, that is so the same with me!

Everyone always goes for the topknot, what is it ?? lol
It just stands up as it is ! I always after the pat it, try and fluff it up with my fingers lol

But yes, Saff always gets the "Is she a show dog ?" question.
and i've even had some show people ask if I was going to show her, but that is a little bit different lol
