Luna finally gave up the wings yesterday and for the first time in a very long time just looks like a white poodle, nothing else. Haha. This isn’t a real poodle style because she doesn’t have shaved feet or tailband, but I did shave her face. I guess it’s kind of a mix of a German and sporting trim.

To do this trim, I took a “1” blade and shaved off the wings, which brought the hair close to the length that the body already was. (You can still see the faint outline of the wings since the outline was shaved in very short.) I scissored a finish on her body and legs (just taking off any scraggly hairs, but not much length.) then trimmed her neck crest and topknot. It’s a nice, short, cool trim for summer.

Here are some before, during, and after pics.

Thank you Michigan Gal and Moni. I also loved the wings but the maintenance on them was getting to be a little much, and my husband didn’t like them at all. It also is kind of nice having her look “trim” again as the wings made her look like she was packing on extra weight.

Perfect summer cut. I will miss the wings but she’s gorgeous no matter what clip she is in.
